Winton (Bill) Conn Herron

Winton, known as Bill, was born on June 17th, 1922 in Crawfordsville, IN. Bill's father was Joseph Croy Herron and his mother was Elma Lillian Conn. His paternal grandparents were Howard Franklin Herron and Jeannette Croy; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Lewis Conn and Mary Elizabeth Good. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Howard, Joseph, Mary and Regina. He died at the age of 85 on April 3rd, 2008 in Indianapolis, IN.

  Winton C. Herron 85, Indianapolis, passed away April 3, 2008. Winton, known as Bill in his 34 years at Indiana Bell, retired in 1982. He was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School, Purdue University, and Marine Corps veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Judith; sons, Scott J. Herron (Annette); grandchildren, Brendon, Corrie, Logan, Christopher W. Stalker-Herron (Kimberly); grandchildren, Sophia, Eva, Ryan P. Herron (Yasuko). Mr. Herron made a donation to the Anatomical Education Program of IU School of Medicine. Memorial donations may be made to Gleaners Food Banks. His family loved him very much and will miss him.
