Major General Charles Douglas Herron
Charles was born on March 13th, 1877 in Crawfordville, Indiana.  Charles' father was William Parke Herron and his mother was Ada Patton.  His paternal grandparents were James Douglas Herron and Rebecca Young.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 100 on April 23rd, 1977 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville, Indiana.
